THE LITTLE LIBRARY

Situated in LA’s Historic Park of Chinatown, The Little Library is the design extension of the Rotating Study. It focuses on using wooden elements to create a miniature children’s library and play hybrid space in one of LA’s underserved communities. The project is a stepping stone towards the project, Subterranean Stacks, located in the same spot. It is the product of aesthetic studies of materials and forms within Chinatown as well as a representational study of how narrative can be used to develop designs.
