SKY WELLS

Sky Wells is a radical project that endeavors to engage challenging and underutilized sites for quality, low income housing that embraces sustainable strategies of resource use. This project was proposed at the intersection of the 105 and 110 freeway intersection, one of the largest intersections in the country. The largest move of the project included the use of a fog catchment system for water use on site and groundwater recharge. LA’s diurnal temperatures cause water to percolate on the wire netting which then falls down into a catchment system for filtration and distribution on and off site.
